June Club Cards

I had so much fun making these cards! The theme for this months club is stamping with markers. And although each of these cards uses markers in different ways, the markers seem some what over shadowed by other elements on the cards!!! Oh well. Like I said, I had a lot of fun making these. So I hope my club members will too!

The first card is one of my own creations (which is normally the case, but this month, as you will see I was busy CASE'ing other peoples brilliant creations). The stamp is from "Eastern Blooms" and the 3 flowers are actually one stamp. So to achieve the 3 different colours, I coloured each flower with a different colour Stampin' Write marker. You could use this technique to make this one card so many different ways! My brain is ticking away at all the possibilities as we speak!! I want to make a version of this card stamped 4 times instead of 3 and use all 12 of one colour family! How fun would that be????

The second card was created as a request from someone at one of my classes who was hoping we would be making a Father's Day card, and with this holiday only a week and a bit away, now seemed the perfect time. I totally CASE'd this card from a post on this blog. But I decided to use Basic Grey ribbon to tie the tie. Which I have to add, I had no freaking clue how to do. My father was a pilot and used to watch him tieing his tie almost every day, but I never could figure it out. So, thanks to the internet, I was able to get some instructions for the half-windsor knot you see pictured here. I didn't do too badly eh? My father was most impressed. But cuter than the tie is the adorable shirt folded using "Walk in the Park" DSP. And it was surprisingly easy!!! The sentiment is from "Eight Great Greetings" from the Occasion mini, which I have been told is not in the new Catty, so if you want it, the deadline is June 30th!!

And the last card was also a total CASE from this blog. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. And I adore this stamp set! Don't those cupcakes look yummy enough to eat?? Maybe it's the fact that I am currently on a low-carb diet.... hmmm.... whatever!!

Just a quick reminder, I will be at Pointer Scrapbooks & Gifts at Woodbine & Highway 7 in Markham on Saturday for thier sidewalk sale. I will be selling cards, monogrammed note card sets and selling off some of my unused Scrapbooking stuff. If I have time, I might also have a few scrapbook kits made with retired Stampin' Up! supplies. Let me know if you want more details.

And if you haven't yet registered for Stampinpalooza in October, click on the box to the right of the posts and do so soon! The day is almost fully sold out! I would hate for someone to miss out on this awesome event hosted by my upline Caroline LeBel.

Cheers,

First ever card class!

Happy weekend everyone!!

And it is a beautiful day here in Toronto. Some of you may have noticed that I changed my blog banner yesterday. Let me know what you think of it? Why the Bee you ask, well for years my sisters have always referred to me as "B". And when I was trying to come up with a blog name a while ago, the "Bee" just made sense. And now that I have 3 team members, I am affectionately calling them members of the "hive".

Anyhow, I wanted to share with you two of the 8 cards that we will be making for my upcoming "Eight Great Greetings" class next Sunday. If you have not yet RSVP'd please do so as soon as possible. There are still a few spots left.

The first card is for Father's day. I got the idea from this card and changed up the colours a bit.
The second card I just played around with. I think that primary colours are fun for Congrats, and that way the card is good for lots of different occasions, season and male vs. female etc. I really hope that you like what you see, and if you want to join us on April 5th, just send me a message.

Cheers,
